You're invited to the Bookshop on Sunday, March 23rd at 2pm, when Melissa Stewart (author) and Sarah Brannen (illustrator) present "Feathers: Not Just for Flying." This nonfiction picture book is written for elementary age children and introduces young naturalists to sixteen birds and the many ways they use feathers - not just for flying. 

Melissa Stewart is the award-winning author of more than one hundred fifty science books for children. She holds degrees in biology and science journalism. She lives in Acton. 

Sarah S. Brannen is the author and illustrator of Uncle Bobby's Wedding and the illustrator of many children's books, most recently, The Very Beary Tooth Fairy. She lives in Metrowest Boston.
