Discovery Museum virtual event: Helping Kids Understand Climate Change and How to Make a Difference
On Wednesday, April 27, 2022, Discovery Museum as they host a virtual event wtih children's authors Stacy Clark and Christy Mihaly, discussing climate change, renewable energies, and steps caretakers can take to empower children to take part in protecting our natural resources.
The program will take place via zoom webinar, from 7:00 - 8:30pm, and includes a Q&A. Pre-registration is required on the Discovery Museum site.

About the speakers:
Stacy Clark is the author of Planet Power: Explore the World's Renewable Energy. She is an environmental geologist, nature lover, educator and climate journalist. She enjoys distilling science into lively rhymes for young readers. Working between New York City and Dallas, Texas, she is inspired by the awesome potential of renewable energy to transform the way that countries around the world are powered. She loves exploring Central Park with her dog, Luna, and cycling along scenic trails and coastlines with her family.
Christy Mihaly has written more than 25 children's books, mostly nonfiction including Water: A Deep Dive of Discovery. She has degrees in policy studies, environmental studies and law from Dartmouth College and the University of California, Berkeley. She lives with her family in Vermont, where she enjoys the inspiration of the changing seasons and the endless varieties of New England precipitation.
